Coaching is a partnership focused on developing your self awareness, thinking, and abilities in order to help you identify your priorities and move through life on your own terms. The coaching agenda is developed and implemented in partnership between us. Sometimes a client needs a sounding board - a need to be heard and have their feelings validated. At other times there might be a specific goal that we work on to achieve. It's about moving forward from a position of indecision, fear, lack of confidence, dealing with unexpected change or life transitions, or feeling stuck and needing change.
In coaching conversations, I will be direct and honest and encourage you to do the same.
The success of the coaching engagement depends upon your commitment and openness to the process. The coaching relationship is strengths-based, forward-looking, and collaborative.
Coaching can help you reconnect with yourself and empower you to deal with life's challenges and move through times of feeling stuck to go forward positively. Gaining understanding of how your mind works can help you to take charge of your feelings and emotions and channel your energy into growth and creativity. This could be, amongst others, in your career, health, personal development, relationships, health or life stages. Together we can work through blocks and create a plan of action to help you ignite curiosity and build the confidence to grab life by the horns and give it a big kiss on the cheek.
Life coaching should not be used as a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, or substance abuse treatment and I will not use it in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment or therapy. If I feel that another service would be more appropriate for you then I recommend a more suitable professional. A life coach is also not qualified to provide, medical, legal or financial advice and any matters concerning these that the Client brings into our discussions should be verified by the appropriate professional.
If you feel that you are in immediate danger of hurting yourself or another person, or have physical or mental health issues please call 111.
