Still Life Coaching is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for Clients. I understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality and trust in coaching relationships. 

Confidentiality 

All client information shared during coaching sessions is strictly confidential. This includes, but is not limited to, discussions, documents, exercises, and any other materials exchanged between client and coach. Still Life Coaching is committed to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and maintaining the privacy of client information.

Still Life Coaching may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal data online through my website:

• information about your computer and about your visits to and use of my website (including your IP address,  geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit and      number of page views).
• information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us.
• any other information that you choose to send to us electronically.

Information about individuals, whether on computer or on paper, falls within the scope of the Data Protection Act 2018 and must comply with the data protection principles.

These are that personal data must be:

· Obtained and processed fairly and lawfully.

· Held only for specified purposes.

· Adequate, relevant and not excessive.

· Accurate and up to date.

· Not kept longer than necessary.

· Processed in accordance with the Act.

· Kept secure and protected.

· Not transferred out of Europe.

It's important to note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information shared electronically.

Consent 

Client information will only be shared with third parties with explicit written consent from the client.
This includes when collaborating with other healthcare professionals involved in the client's care.
Prior to any such communication, I will obtain the client's permission and provide details about what information will be shared and with whom.

Limits to Confidentiality

There are specific situations where I may need to break confidentiality to ensure clients’ (or others’) safety and well-being.
These situations include:

• If there is a reasonable suspicion of  harm to self or others.
      In such cases, Still Life Coaching will terminate the session to ensure immediate protection and prevent further harm.
• If there is a legal requirement to disclose information (e.g., a court order).
• If there is a need to consult with a supervisor or another professional for the purpose of providing the best  possible assistance to the client.
• Crimes and incidents that cause physical  or psychological harm, damage to or loss of property, and are against the  law, including Drug trafficking, money laundering or acts of terrorism.
  
      If Still Life Coaching needs to disclose confidential information to any relevant authorities, I will make reasonable effort to inform the client  before disclosing any information, except in situations where doing so  would increase the risk of harm.

Recording Coaching Sessions

I do not generally record coaching sessions, however occasionally I’d like to for training and development purposes. I will not do this unless I have your consent. You have the right not to consent.

If clients wish to record their coaching sessions for personal reference, you are welcome to do so. If you wish to record your coaching call, please inform your coach in advance and gain their consent. This ensures a transparent and mutually respectful coaching relationship. 

Use of Anonymised Information

Still Life Coaching occasionally shares anonymised client experiences and success stories to inspire and educate others, or for marketing purposes. 

I highly value and respect your confidentiality, therefore all shared stories will be carefully stripped of any personally identifiable information, such as names, locations, or any other specifics that could potentially reveal the client's identity. 

My priority is to maintain the trust, respect and confidentiality of each individual I work with, ensuring your privacy is safeguarded at all times. If you have any concerns or reservations about the sharing of your success story, please let me know, and I will respect your wishes. 

Written Records

I will hold limited written client records. These will be maintained, stored and disposed of in a manner which promotes confidentiality, security and privacy and complies with applicable laws.

After 7 years, all records will be destroyed. 

You are welcome to request access to these notes at any time during this period. I will require at least 10 working days to produce these records.

I am registered with ICO in compliance with GDPR regulations.

Client's Responsibility

Clients are encouraged to be mindful of the information they share during coaching sessions. While I am dedicated to maintaining confidentiality, clients should refrain from sharing any information that they believe is highly sensitive, private, or legally protected.

Policy amendments

I may update this privacy policy from time-to-time to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or business practices by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

Updating information

Please let me know if the personal information which I hold about you needs to be corrected or updated.
